Heat Guards
Heat Guards, a unique product from Practical Design, are carefully designed and produced to relieve heat and provide a natural cooling feeling effect. A Heat Guard cooling tie only needs to be soaked in water for about 20 minutes - the tie contains polymer crystals which absorb water and slowly release it into the fabric providing natural cooling through evaporation. No refrigeration is necessary to produce this effect. The crystals, which expand to more than 400 times their original weight, store enough water to continually keep you cool for a full day.
